Role Summary 
LGBT Foundation is an impactful, vibrant charity with a wide portfolio of well-established services and rapidly developing new initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people. We are seeking a Creative and Projects Officer to join our Team.  

The Communications Team at LGBT Foundation is a small, yet collaborative group of professionals dedicated to advancing the visibility and impact of the UK’s leading health and well-being charity. The team is responsible for implementing wide-ranging communication and marketing strategies. By leveraging various channels such as social media, websites, film, and video, and traditional media, the team strives to empower LGBTQ+ communities, amplify voices, foster positive change, and grow awareness of LGBT Foundation’s range of services.  

This role will provide administrative and project support to the Communications and Marketing team. You will work closely with the Communications Manager across ambitious projects and campaigns and provide design and creative support to our Creative and Branding Coordinator.  

Our Creative and Projects Officer will work with other team members, departments, and external partners to achieve project goals, and promote our life-changing services. 

The successful applicant will:

  • Support the day-to-day operation of our social media channels through content creation, scheduling, and copywriting. 
  • Work with our Creative and Branding Coordinator to co-produce and design digital content that engages LGBTQ+ people and tells the story of our life-changing, identity-affirming work and our communities. 
  • Provide project support to the communications team on a range of campaigns and creative activities. 
  • Directly report to the Communications Manager, providing regular updates on project timelines, social media performance, and creative content development.

Role Summary 
LGBT Foundation has based its services on well-developed expertise around the key health and social care issues affecting LGBTQ+ communities, including  Domestic Abuse , Sexual Violence , Mental health , Sexual health, Wellbeing, Community safety , Substance misuse recovery and Indigo Gender Service.

Our integrated Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Programme (DASV) offers support to LGBTQ+ victims-survivors at high, medium, standard and non-recent risk of domestic abuse and sexual violence. This includes the provision of a holistic assessment of risk and need, safety and support planning, casework sessions, support with reporting options and navigating the criminal justice process, legal options, housing advice/support, advocacy, emotional and practical support.   

Key responsibilities of our ISVA:   

  • Hold a caseload of LGBTQ+ victims-survivors impacted by sexual violence and other care and support needs.   
  • Act as a single point of contact for LGBTQ+ victims/survivors of sexual violence within and outside the criminal justice service.   
  • Ensure the safety of LGBTQ+ victims/survivors and any dependents.   
  • Ensure LGBTQ+ victims/survivors are aware of their reporting options.   
  • Support the coordination of the integrated DASV Programme.   
  • Provide consultation to other services to ensure they are inclusive and meet the needs of LGBTQ+ communities.   
  • Provide safeguarding support to those delivering front line services at LGBT Foundation.

Role Summary

In this role, you will plan and produce high-quality content across multiple platforms, both online and offline, to promote our projects and services. You’ll help tell the impactful stories of our work and our partners, shaping content that leverages graphic design, video, written materials, and digital media to amplify our mission and campaigns. 

Working closely with the communications team, under the guidance of the Communications Manager, you will create a diverse range of assets, including film, reports, audio, photography, and marketing materials, all aligned with our strategic messaging to showcase our impact on LGBTQ+ communities. The work you do will amplify our mission, vision, messages and campaigns and engage LGBTQ+ communities. 

In this role, you will also co-facilitate creative sessions with staff, volunteers, and occasionally external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and generating new ideas for content creation. Additionally, you coordinate projects such as photoshoots and filming with external creatives and organisations as and when needed 

As a brand steward, you will ensure that all communications are consistent with our brand guidelines, tone of voice, and core values. Additionally, you’ll support the team by providing training to empower staff to create their own short-form and in-house content.
